Dynamics of plasmas produced by a laser pulse, inside a dense gaseous target, formed in an ambient gas

In this work, the time development of plasmas produced by interaction laser pulses, with a nitrogen gas, was investigated. The took place inside small portion dense gas injected temporarily into chamber filled under low pressure. High-temperature directly pulse were source soft x rays and charged particles, ionizing exciting surrounding gas. way, low-temperature produced. formation high-temperature studied using x-ray spectroscopy streak imaging. Low-temperature formed at various distances from focus investigated an optical camera. Interpretation experimental data supported numerical modeling laser-produced plasma hydrodynamics. It concluded that depending on distance focal spot, dominated ion streams or radiation.
